The Department of Pathology, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (AIMS), Kochi proudly present the 3rd Amrita Annual Pathology Update (AAPUD 2019) - UPDATE ON PATHOLOGY OF GIT AND PANCREAS, to be held on 13-14th July 2019 at AIMS, Kochi.

The purpose of this 2 day academic event is to discuss various pertinent clinically relevant topics and recent updates in gastrointestinal tract and pancreas pathology through didactic talks, case based discussions/slide seminars.

Eminent international and national faculties are handpicked to lead the scientific journey.

The CME covers both neoplastic and non neoplastic pathology of GIT and pancreas and will enhance understanding of the subject with the most recent updates. The clinical input from distinguished senior faculties will help pathologists appreciate their pivotal role in the multidisciplinary team.

The Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) has approved the CME with 14 CPD credits.

CME & WORKSHOP on COPD

Dates : February 23-24, 2019

Amrita hospital has always been in the forefront for offering the most advanced and current management strategies for all diseases.

Department of Pulmonary Medicine, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, is conducting “CME and Workshop on COPD” on 23rd February 2019 to give new insights and to refresh the current knowledge in COPD management to pulmonologists, general physicians, general practitioners and post graduates. CME is organised as a part of the inauguration of AMRITA PULMONARY REHABILITATION PROGRAMME.

In keeping with the tradition, we are also conducting a PG update programme on 24th February 2019 especially for exam-going PGs. Morning session is for clinical case discussion and in the afternoon, viva voce will be conducted by examiners from all over India.

Fellowship in High Precision Radiation Therapy (CyberKnife and Tomotherapy)

This is a two (2) year University affiliated fellowship program aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the spectrum of high precision radiation therapy and robotic radiosurgery. This fellowship is to make radiation oncology trainee to be competent in patients with high precision radiation therapy (Tomotherapy, CyberKnife, Radixact, VMAT and other technologies).

The objectives are enumerated below:

1. To increase knowledge and experience in Radiation therapy in both adult and paediatric patients.
2. Train fellows to take independent decision in treating with CyberKnife & Tomotherapy.
3. To enhance teaching abilities through interaction with MD/ DMRT residents, students and clinicians.
4. To gain experience in research techniques, write up research protocols and utilize these techniques to complete research projects.

 

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential: Post-graduate training in Radiotherapy (MD/DNB)
Desirable: Demonstration of interest in High Precision Radio Surgery
Duration of Program: 24 months

Vacancy – Project Technician / Lab Attender

As part of an ICMR project on “Human pulmonary paragonimiasis in crab eating communities and smear negative suspected TB cases from some states of India”, 3 project technicians and a lab attender are required.

The candidates are required to be qualified in Laboratory Technology BSc MLT/BSc Microbiology/DMLT and / or in social work.
