Paediatric Infectious Diseases

The Paediatric Infectious Diseases Division is dedicated to the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of complex and common infections in children from birth through adolescence. Our expert Paediatric infectious disease specialists provides evidence-based care tailored to each child's unique health needs. With a multidisciplinary approach and close coordination with other Paediatric subspecialties, we offer timely and comprehensive care for children affected by various infections, including those with underlying immunodeficiencies or requiring transplant care

We manage a wide range of infectious conditions, including: 

• Recurrent fevers and undiagnosed infections 
• Complicated or resistant bacterial infections
• Congenital and perinatal infections
• Viral illnesses including HIV 
• Fungal infections such as candidiasis and aspergillosis
• Tuberculosis and atypical mycobacterial infections
• Infections in immunocompromised children (e.g., post-transplant, chemotherapy) 
• Vector-borne diseases (dengue, malaria, scrub typhus) 
• Travel-related infections
• Vaccine-preventable disease evaluation and management 

• Integrated care involving pediatric critical care, immunology, transplant team, neurology and pediatric surgical specialties
• In-house microbiology, virology and molecular diagnostics for rapid and precise testing

• Support for antimicrobial stewardship and infection control in pediatric units

Our outpatient clinics provide consultation and follow-up for: 

• Persistent or unexplained fevers 
• Management of chronic infections such as HIV and TB 
• Immunization for immunocompromised children 
• Long-term follow-up of children recovering from severe infections 

Appointments are available throughout the week with options for referral-based and walk-in consultations.
