When I show this footage to patient/ parties the first question I hear is 'Did the surgery produce this good outcome?' The reality is actually his mother. Yes the surgery reduces spasticity. What it can't do is retrain the unused muscles. They stayed on for a few months and Mom eventually learned all the therapy needed to care for him. Now we meet once a year and when she conveys problems in care or further goals, half of anything I suggest she has already done. Go Mom!
