Sarcoma and Skin Cancer Management at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, specializes in the comprehensive management of various types of sarcomas, extremity and body wall tumors, and skin malignancies affecting different parts of the body. Our multidisciplinary team comprises surgical oncologists, plastic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, and pathologists dedicated in providing personalized care for each patient. Every Friday, our sarcoma board convenes to discuss cases, ensuring a collaborative approach to diagnosis and treatment planning. 

Outpatient Services

Our outpatient services are available daily, operating from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, either within the Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Oncosurgery, General surgery or the Reconstructive Surgery department. For bone tumors, Orthopedic Surgery can be approached. Skin lesions can be shown to Dermatology Department also. patients can take an appointment with any of the above-mentioned departments for a consultation regarding this disease. All the patients will be discussed in the specialized Sarcoma and Skin cancer tumor board and a treatment plan arrived at jointly, regardless of which department the patient is initially seen. Patients Whether it is addressing peripheral and limb swellings, bone tumors, or skin cancers, our team adopts a holistic approach to cancer care. Our multi-specialty tumor board, unique to Amrita Hospitals, ensures that every patient receives thorough evaluation and treatment recommendations from experts in Plastic Reconstructive surgery, Medical and Radiation Oncology, Orthopedics, and Pathology.

For tumors involving brachial plexus and peripheral nerves, we employ specialized nerve surgeries to achieve optimal outcomes. In cases where nerve function cannot be fully restored, muscle or tendon transfers may be considered, accompanied by comprehensive post-operative physiotherapy to facilitate recovery.
