To enhance the skills of paediatricians, paediatric residents, and neurology trainees, the 61st national conference of the Indian Academy of Paediatrics, PEDICON 2024, organized a comprehensive pre-conference workshop at Amrita Hospital, Kochi. 

The workshop, titled "Neurology in Office Practice - What a Paediatrician Should Know," was geared towards providing practical training on the fundamental approach to common paediatric neurology practice. The event witnessed an impressive turnout, with the participation of more than 100 doctors at Amrita Hospital, Kochi. 

Eminent international and national faculty members in paediatric neurology spearheaded the sessions, ensuring a wealth of expertise and insights for the participants. The first half of the workshop featured video-based and interactive lectures addressing common neurological illnesses in childhood. 

During the morning sessions, renowned experts shared their knowledge on various aspects of paediatric neurology. One notable international faculty member, Prof. Solomon Moshe from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, USA, provided valuable insights on the approach to paroxysmal events. 

In the afternoon, the workshop transitioned into case based sessions at six different workstations. Attendees had the opportunity to explore into specific areas such as EEG, neuroimaging, and neuroelectrophysiology, gaining practical skills and knowledge directly applicable to their clinical practice. 

The successful workshop at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, set a positive tone for the upcoming PEDICON 2024 conference, offering a platform for learning and collaboration among professionals in the field of paediatric neurology.
