The Transplant Intensive Care Unit of the Department of Anaesthesia & Critical Care of Amrita Hospital, Kochi has been awarded First Prize for 'Excellence in Organ Transplant ICU Care' in India (Private Sector Category) at the ISCCM National Conference, held in Cochin, Kerala, in March 2025.

This prestigious award is jointly presented by the Indian Society of Critical Care Medicine (ISCCM) and the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation (ISOT). The selection committee evaluated multiple parameters including the volume and diversity of transplants, clinical outcomes, standardised protocols, academic contributions, patient feedback, and collaborations with public, NGO, and government bodies.
