Overview

Dr. Lakshmi completed her MBBS in 2011 and MD Psychiatry in 2017 from Government Medical College, Calicut. Then she joined Government Medical College Alappuzha and worked in the Department of Psychiatry as Senior Resident for a year. She has worked as a Consultant in Little Flower Hospital and Research Centre, Angamaly. Before joining Amrita, she has also worked in Government Medical College, Ernakulam. Currently she is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. Her areas of interest include depression and prevention of suicide, de-addiction, and child psychiatry. She is actively involved in resident education and other academic activities in the department.
