Dr. Don Jose Palamattam joined Amrita Hospital, Kochi in March 2023 and is working as Assistant Professor . Prior to joining Amrita Hospital, he served in the capacity of Assistant Professor at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences (SCTIMST), Trivandram, Kerala. He received his training in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Anesthesiology from SCTIMST, Trivandram and post graduation in Anesthesiology from Nizams Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS), Hyderabad. His core interest is preoperative optimization of patients before cardiac surgery, perioperative echocardiography, anesthesia f0r adult and paediatric cardiac surgery and post operative cardiac critical care. Dr. Don has received fellowship in Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) from the prestigious Indian Association of Cardiothoracic Anesthesiologists (IACTA)
