As part of the Independence Day celebrations, the National Flag was hoisted in front of the main entrance of Amrita Hospital, Kochi, at 8 a.m. on August 15.
Prof. Dr. Gireesh Kumar K. P., Principal, Amrita School of Medicine, hoisted the National Flag. Swami Purnamritananda Puri, General Secretary of the Mata Amritanandamayi Math, was present at the ceremony.
Staff and students of Amrita Hospital and the Amrita Health Sciences Campus, along with other members of the campus community, participated in the event. The Amrita family celebrated Independence Day with the message, “A healthy nation is the greatest strength of an independent India.”
The ceremony also paid tribute to the brave patriots who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom and conveyed a message of national unity and responsibility.
