In a heartfelt celebration of the invaluable contributions of nurses, Abhinandan 2025 was held to honor and appreciate the dedicated healthcare professionals who play a crucial role in patient care. Nurses are often the first and most consistent point of contact for patients, offering not only clinical expertise but also empathy, comfort, and a positive impact on the lives they touch. Their ability to heal, advocate for, and comfort patients is unmatched in the healthcare system.
Abhinandan, an event held every two months to recognize the extraordinary efforts of nursing staff, began in June 2024. Since its inception, 1200 appreciation letters have been issued, recognizing the unwavering dedication of nurses. The March 8, 2025 event marked the fourth edition of Abhinandan and continued the tradition of celebrating nurses for their exceptional care and efforts.
The event commenced with a lamp lighting ceremony led by Ms. Sai Bala M, the Nursing Director, marking the beginning of a celebration of the remarkable work done by nursing professionals. The Deputy Nursing Officers, Ms. Vimala J, Ms. Pusphalatha R, and Ms. Sudhadmaja P.P, were also present, showing their support for the nursing staff and contributing to the day's significance.
Nurses selected for recognition were carefully chosen based on their exceptional contributions to patient care, which were evaluated through patient feedback and peer reviews. During the ceremony, seven nursing staff members were honored with special recognition awards for their quick thinking and diligent work under pressure, particularly in life-saving situations.
Additionally, the event included the distribution of prizes for the winners of the Saavishkaara Mime Competition and the Poster Making Competition, providing an opportunity for staff to showcase their creative talents.
Through Abhinandan, the healthcare community acknowledges and appreciates those who provide quality, compassionate care for patients. These nurses demonstrate the highest levels of empathy, critical thinking, and expertise, often saving lives through their timely interventions.
