
Amrita Hospital, in collaboration with the Indian Society of Medical and Pediatric Oncology (ISMPO), organized a two-day workshop focused on advanced treatment methods for lung cancer. The workshop brought together over 20 renowned oncologists from across the globe to discuss the latest techniques in managing lung cancer, which is predominantly caused by smoking and other environmental factors.
The event, titled "Ekalavya," featured expert speakers, including Dr. G. Boom Lee from South Korea and Dr. Aaron Tan from Singapore, who shared their insights on international case studies and treatment strategies. The discussions aimed at exploring innovative approaches to lung cancer diagnosis, treatment, and patient care.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Prem Nair, Medical Director of Amrita Hospitals, and was led by Dr. K. Pavithran, Chief of Oncology at Amrita Hospital, Kochi. ISMPO Convener Dr. Padmaj Kulkarni also contributed significantly to the event's success.
The seminar concluded on Sunday with valuable contributions from all the participants, underscoring Amrita Hospital’s ongoing commitment to advancing oncology care and promoting global collaboration in the fight against lung cancer.
