A two-day workshop on Pulmonary Thromboendarterectomy (PTE) surgery, which helps to remove blockages in the arteries to the lungs, concluded at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, on October 23.

Dr. David Jenkins, Consultant, Cardiothoracic Surgeon, Royal Papworth Hospital, NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridge, UK, performed live surgeries and explained the procedures.

The workshop was organised as part of the 6th Amrita Heart Conclave 2022. Around 50 doctors from different parts of the country attended the event. About 150 cardiac specialists and cardiac anesthesia specialists from various hospitals participated in the workshop.

Dr. Praveen Varma, Head, Department of CVTS, Amrita Hospital, Kochi, Dr Kirun Gopal, Dr. Brijesh P K, Dr. Rajesh Jose, Dr. Rohik Micka, Dr. Praveen Reddy and Dr Balaji Srimurugan from Amrita Hospital took part in the workshop.
