Amrita Hospital Kochi marked the occasion of World Voice Day by conducting an awareness session for members of the FEFKA dubbing union group, raising awareness about voice care. The aim was to give awareness on vocal health, recognizing its significance, particularly for those whose livelihoods depend on it. The event witnessed a participation from 30 members of the FEFKA dubbing union, who engaged in informative sessions focused on voice care, dos and don'ts of voice, voice anatomy, and voice physiology. The session also delved into the nuances of voice therapy, offering valuable insights into rehabilitation and training techniques.

The sessions were led by Dr. Unnikrishnan Menon, Professor Department of ENT, and Mrs. Archana Mariam Varghese, Assistant Professor, Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology, which covered everything from the intricacies of voice anatomy to effective voice therapy techniques.

World Voice Day, observed globally on April 16th each year, serves as a reminder of the vital role played by the voice in our daily lives. It aims to highlight the importance of preventing voice problems, rehabilitating impaired voices, training artistic voices, and advancing research in voice science and application.
