
Amrita Hospital, Kochi, observed Child Neurology Awareness Program 2025 on the occasion of World Child Neurology Day, with the theme “See the Ability, Not the Disability.” The program aimed to create greater awareness about neurological disorders in children and to inspire empathy and support for affected families.
The event was inaugurated by Dr. Prem Nair, Group Medical Director, Amrita Hospitals. Dr. Vinayan K.P., Professor and Head, Department of Paediatric Neurology, Amrita Hospital, Kochi, delivered the welcome address. Dr. Suresh Kumar, Secretary, Kerala Association of Neurologists, was the chief guest of the function.
Dr. Vaishakh Anand, Associate Professor, Department of Paediatric Neurology, led an awareness session on “What is a Brain Disorder and How Does It Occur?” The session provided valuable insights into early recognition and management of neurological conditions in children.
Families and patients from across the country shared their personal experiences, reflecting courage and hope in the face of neurological challenges. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Azmi Habeeb.
