
The Amrita Annual Review in Oncology (AARO 2024), held at Amrita Hospital, Kochi, marked a significant milestone celebrating two decades of excellence in oncology care and 18 years of postgraduate training at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi.
Inaugurated by Dr. Gireesh Kumar, Principal, Amrita School of Medicine, the Continuing Medical Education (CME) event lived up to its reputation as a platform for interactive learning. With over 300 attendees, including oncologists, physician assistants, nurses, clinical pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals from across the nation, AARO 2024 has facilitated an engaging and informative experience.
The event showcased a variety of activities, including interactive quizzes and real-time polls designed to enhance the learning process. These elements not only added an engaging dynamic to the sessions, but also provided participants with a unique and enriching educational experience.
Attendees have gained valuable insights into the latest developments and effective management strategies for different types of cancer. These presentations, delivered by experts in the field, emphasized the institute's commitment to advancing oncological research and providing cutting-edge care.
Organized by the Department of Medical Oncology, AARO 2024 has received endorsement and support from prominent organizations, including the Indian Society of Medical and Pediatric Oncology (ISMPO), Association of Medical and Pediatric oncologists of Kerala (AMPOK), and the Cochin Oncology Group (COG). This collaboration highlighted the event's dedication to exploring and disseminating the latest advancements in oncology.
