Dr. Rajesh Kannan

Dr. RajeshKannan, a distinguished radiologist, has been a vital part of Amrita Hospital since 2005. With over 20 years of specialized experience in cardiac imaging, including paediatric cardiac MRI, Dr. Kannan has developed a strong expertise in utilizing advanced imaging technologies. He has extensive experience working with 1.5T and 3T MRI systems, excelling in MR angiography, arthrography, functional imaging, epilepsy and cardiac applications.

Since 2018, Dr. Kannan has also been at the forefront of integrated PET-MRI imaging, further expanding his proficiency in cutting-edge diagnostic techniques.

• Cardiac Imaging: Over 20 years of experience, including pediatric cardiac MRI.
• MRI Specialization: Proficient in 1.5T and 3T MRI systems, with expertise in MR angiography, arthrography, functional imaging, epilepsy, and cardiac applications.
• Integrated PET-MRI Imaging: Experienced in integrated PET-MRI since 2018, applying advanced diagnostic techniques including Cardiac PET-MRI.
• Ultrasound and CT-Guided Procedures: Skilled in USG and CT-guided biopsy, as well as percutaneous drainage of thoracoabdominal collections.
• Interventional Radiology: Expertise in diagnostic angiography, peripheral angioplasty, embolization of hemoptysis, GI bleeds, and liver tumors.
• Biliary and Renal Interventions: Proficient in biliary drainage, percutaneous nephrostomy, radiofrequency ablation (RFA), and microwave ablation (MWA).
• Assisted Neuro-Interventional Procedures: Experienced in supporting a variety of neuro-interventional procedures.
