Overview
Dr. Nigil Sadanandan Palliyil is an orthopaedic spinal surgeon who holds board certifications from the Royal College of Surgeons-England, Royal College of Surgeons- Edinburgh and the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi. His practice focuses exclusively on spinal surgery, encompassing a wide range of spinal disorders. He has a special interest in minimally invasive spine surgery, complex cervical and lumbar degenerative procedures, spine trauma, spine oncology, deformity corrections, and CT navigated spinal surgeries.
Dr. Palliyil earned his MBBS and MS in Orthopaedics from Government Medical College, Thrissur, Kerala, and holds a DNB degree in Orthopaedics. He completed a two-year spine fellowship program certified by the National Board (FNB) at P.D. Hinduja National Hospital in Mumbai. Subsequently, he was selected for a prestigious two-year spine fellowship program at The Centre for Spinal Studies and Surgery at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham University Hospital, UK. Following this, he advanced to the position of Associate Consultant in Spine Surgery at QMC, Nottingham.
