Delhi NCR Histopathology Meet on Breast Pathology was successfully conducted at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad. The event gathered the leading histopathologists in the Delhi NCR region for an interactive session. Approximately 30 pathologists from leading corporate hospitals attended the meeting, shedding light on the subject of discussion through engaging networking and mutual learning.
The conference began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and the inaugural address by Major General Tapan Saha, the Principal of the Medical College, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham. During the opening remarks, he stressed the need for snapping out of complacency and the need to pursue academic activities for improving the detection rates and the treatment of patients.
The meeting was graced by several eminent dignitaries in the field of pathology, including Dr Sunita Ahlawat, Dr Sonia Badwal, Dr Urmi Mukherjee, and Dr Renu Madan, whose presence added significant academic value to the programme.
The academic sessions were curated and coordinated by the Department of Pathology, Amrita Hospital, under the leadership of Dr K. R. Rathi, Dr Gaurav Khanna, Dr Arupparna SenGupta, and Dr Arushi Agarwal. The core scientific session had an extensive discussion on breast pathology, which included interesting, challenging case presentations and discussions from participants. Interactions had comprehensive dialogue, critical analysis, and dissemination of best practices by peers.
Following this, the participants were taken on a guided tour of the Histopathology Laboratories at Amrita Hospital. The guests were able to learn about the diagnostic facilities, equipment, and processes of the hospital, as they were impressed by what they could see of the commitment of the institution to diagnostic excellence.
They showed high appreciation for the Infrastructure and Academic Environment of the hospital, stating that the infrastructure of the hospital is highly equipped for advanced histopathological analysis and academic activities.
The Histopathology meet organised by Amrita Hospital in the National Capital Region of Delhi was concluded on a very positive note, reiterating Amrita Hospital’s status as one of the major academies in the field and establishing stronger links between the pathologists.
