<p>In pursuance of the policy of AHWAHAN of NTPC, a successful event was organized titled “Dil Se Walkathon (A Step Towards a Healthier Heart)” at NTPC Faridabad in association with Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, and Navjeevan Hospital. The aim of this activity was to spread heart health awareness among the employees of NTPC and to inculcate in them a habit of healthy living through a healthy lifestyle, among other habits, by adopting a healthy habit of walking regularly.</p><p><br><a href="https://www.amritahospitals.org/faridabad/doctor/vibhav-sharma">Dr. Vibhav Sharma</a>, a Cardiologist from Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, gave an informative and interactive presentation on the prevention of heart diseases and the need to adopt a healthy heart lifestyle among people prior to the flag ceremony of the event. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of regular exercises in keeping heart diseases at bay, apart from other healthy habits of healthy nutrition, stress management, and regular health check-ups, etc., as pillars of healthy hearts.<br>The Head of Project (HOP) for Faridabad officially launched the event with a flag-off ceremony in front of GM Finance (USAG), CMO Navjeevan Hospital, AC (CISF) and several others from various departments where the participation of management demonstrated their commitment to the well-being of employees. The involvement of these department leaders brought stamina, inspiration, and a feeling of universal purpose to the initiating moment.</p><p><br>NTPC Faridabad and Amrita Hospital Faridabad worked very closely together in a wonderful way to demonstrate how effective corporate–hospital collaborations can promote preventative health initiatives for employees through the “Dil Se Walkathon.” It increased awareness about heart health and created a sense of togetherness, motivation, and shared responsibility for well-being, among everyone who participated in the event.</p><p>More than 100 NTPC employees, including CISF personnel, participated in the walkathon with tremendous enthusiasm and showcased the essence of the theme by walking not only with their feet, but also with heartfelt commitment to better health and a more active lifestyle.
