
Amrita Hospital, Faridabad was honoured as supportive stakeholder Institution by NOTTO on 15th Indian Organ Donation Day (IODD) held on 2nd August 2025. The award was presented by Hon'ble Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare, Sh. J. P. Nadda.
Amrita Hospital has emerged as a leading stakeholder institute to support multiple initiatives in the field of organ donation and transplantation. Within a short span of time the Institute has been successful in being recognized by NOTTO for conducting national-level cadaveric "Multi-organ and Tissue Retrieval" workshops, organizing certification program on brain stem death for intensivists and serving as Field Centre for imparting practical knowledge and skills during transplant coordinator’s training conducted by NOTTO. The institute has also been aggressively promoting organ donation awareness in the city of Faridabad and adjoining areas through social organizations and social media platform.
The first Amrita-NOTTO cadaveric Multi-Organ and Tissue Retrieval Workshop was successfully conducted on June 28th, 2025 at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad with participation from nine leading government hospitals across the State. The participants unanimously felt that the workshop was well curated and professionally executed.
Amrita Hospital is planning to institutionalize these initiatives as recurring academic events that will help in skill enhancement and capacity building at a national level. The Institute is strongly committed to work closely with NOTTO to improve organ and tissue donation awareness by actively engaging in public awareness events, educational seminars and media campaigns.
