Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, hosted the ASAMI India Basic Ilizarov Course on August 22–23, bringing together orthopaedic surgeons and trainees from across India for a two-day programme on limb reconstruction and deformity correction using the Ilizarov technique.
The course saw the participation of 74 delegates from across India and two delegates from Nepal. Twenty eminent national faculty members led the academic sessions, which included lectures, live demonstrations, hands-on practical training, and case discussions covering the principles, biomechanics, and clinical applications of the Ilizarov method.
The programme provided participants with practical exposure to techniques related to complex trauma, deformity correction, and bone reconstruction, combining theoretical learning with interactive hands-on sessions.
The course was organised under the guidance of Dr. Pritish Singh, Organizing Chairman, and Dr. Ananya Sharma, Organizing Secretary, along with the organising team.
