Dr. Akanksha Jain is a Senior Consultant in Paediatrics and Paediatric Critical Care with over 13 years of experience in managing critical and complex paediatric cases. After completing her graduation from Amrita Institute of Medical Science, Kochi in 2008, she became Dipolomate in National Board in Pediatrics in 2012. She then pursued her Fellowship in National Board in PICU from Narayana Hrudayalaya Bangalore (2014-16). Dr. Jain added to her experience and expertise by working at prestigious institutes at London, Birmingham and SickKids, University of Toronto (2016-19). After returning back to India, she used her knowledge and experience in establishing a Pediatric, PICU and NICU unit at Ranchi, a tier 2 city, in midst of limited resources and manpower. Dr. Jain was fortunate in leading and giving a beautiful shape to a Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Aster, Kochi (2021-24). In her leadership, the unit treated many complex case including, airway emergencies, complicated pneumonias requiring advance ventilation & ECMO support, complex cardiovascular cases, kidney and liver transplant patients, Peditric surgery cases, complex Pediatric neurology cases including refractory seizures and necrotising encephalitis and meningitis, patients with complex inborn errors, genetic disorders, connective tissue disorders, endocrine abnormalities, Pediatric cardiology and neurosurgery cases. Dr. Jain has led many critical care transport both at national and international level.

In addition to her clinical practice, she is a passionate academician and an active contributor to medical education. She started PICU fellowship course at Aster. She has authored multiple publications in reputed journals, developed innovative training curriculums, and led simulation-based learning programs for healthcare professionals. Her initiatives to empower parents with life-saving skills ("Empowering Parents" initiative) and her commitment to community health and environmental conservation further reflect her multifaceted approach to making a meaningful impact in healthcare and society. Her expertise is complemented by a deep sense of compassion and dedication to providing holistic care to patients and their families.
