National Conference on Promotion of School Mental Health Programme: Current Scenario and Future Directions

The Department of Clinical Psychology, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi and Indian Association of Clinical Psychologists (Kerala Region) is organizing a national Conference on “Promotion of School Mental Health Programme: Current Scenario & Future Directions” (CRE Accredited (RCI)) from July 12 - 14, 2019.

Theme : "Let’s come together to ensure that School Mental Health programme reaches every child; a promise for a better tomorrow”

Eligibility: Mental health professionals, Teachers, Counselors, Special educators, Rehabilitation professionals, Students in mental health area, Research scholars

CRE credits for first 100 participants (only for rehabilitation professionals registered with Rehabilitation Council of India with CRR number).

The Department of Pathology, Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Centre (AIMS), Kochi proudly present the 3rd Amrita Annual Pathology Update (AAPUD 2019) - UPDATE ON PATHOLOGY OF GIT AND PANCREAS, to be held on 13-14th July 2019 at AIMS, Kochi.

The purpose of this 2 day academic event is to discuss various pertinent clinically relevant topics and recent updates in gastrointestinal tract and pancreas pathology through didactic talks, case based discussions/slide seminars.

Eminent international and national faculties are handpicked to lead the scientific journey.

The CME covers both neoplastic and non neoplastic pathology of GIT and pancreas and will enhance understanding of the subject with the most recent updates. The clinical input from distinguished senior faculties will help pathologists appreciate their pivotal role in the multidisciplinary team.

The Royal College of Pathologists (RCPath) has approved the CME with 14 CPD credits.

Infection Control Certification Programme for Nurses - 2019

Infection Control Certification Programme for Nurses (Distance Education)

“An intensive state of art review of infection control practices, suitable for those new to infection control or with an interest in Infection Control.”

Medical advances have brought lifesaving care to patients in need, yet many of those advances come with a risk of hospital and patients at large.

Importance of ICCP

ICCP is an endeavor towards preparation of a group of health care professionals with expertise which is essential for effective implementation of infection control practices across all health care settings. By the infection control certification program, we aim at developing specialized nurses in this field, equipped with adequate knowledge and skill needed for the maintenance of a safe hospital environment and health care delivery practices.

Credentials

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences has conducted this certification program since 2011 and has certified 375 Registered Nurses from various parts of India over 21 Batches.

Training Overview

Infection control certification program is a distance education program delivered over a period of 8 weeks with 6 days mandatory contact sessions. There shall be an examination at the end of the course and the final evaluation is based on the completed log book, written exam and viva voce. Contact classes are arranged in two sessions of 3 days each.

Training package:

This includes printed course materials, log book and lectures by experienced resource personnel and field visit during contact programs.

Eligibility for admission

  • Diploma in GNM/Post Basic BSc Nursing/BSc Nursing degree/MSc Nursing Degree
  • Has an active license from any state nursing council in India.
  • Currently working in a hospital where training related activities (Eg. Infection Control audits/surveillance etc) can be performed.
