Fellowship program in Cardiovascular Radiology

Highlights of the program

The Department of Radiodiagnosis at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi is one of the finest and most busiest imaging centre in the country with a fully digital, Picture Archiving and Communications Systems that is equipped with one 256 slice MDCT, one 16 slice MDCT, one 1.5 Tesla and one 3 T MR systems. On a monthly basis, average of 150 - 200 CT angios, 70 - 80 Cardiac CT, 100 - 150 MR angios and 30 - 40 Cardiac MRI are performed.

Fellow will be trained as per guidelines of the Indian Association of Cardiac Imaging (IACI) in Cardiac Magnetic Resonance (CMR) imaging and Cardiovascular CT.

 

Course Objectives

At the completion of fellowship training, Radiologist will be competent in:

  • PHYSIOLOGICAL ASPECTS OF CARDIAC & VASCULAR IMAGING
  • ANATOMICAL ASPECTS OF CARDIAC & VASCULAR IMAGING
  • IMAGING MODALITIES FOR THE HEART & GREAT VESSELS
  • PHYSICAL PRINCIPLES OF CARDIOVASCULAR IMAGING
  • CARDIOVASCULAR PATHOLOGY
