Amrita Hospital receives Kerala State Pollution Control Board’s Excellence Award

Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi, received Kerala State Pollution Control Board’s award for its sustained efforts in pollution control and for initiatives in environment protection in 2016 - 17. The award instituted by the state government in different categories of institutions for best practices in pollution control, effective management to control air and water pollution, energy and water conservation and protection of environment is given to coincide with World Environment Day.

Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan presented the award on October 04, 2017. The award was received by Swami Jnanamritanandapuri, Mata Amritanandamayi Math. Dr. Jaggu, Additional General Manager; V. Rajappan, General Manager of Water Treatment & Biomedical Waste Management and R. R. Rajesh, Senior Research Officer of Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences were present on the occasion.
