Dr. Prem is widely experienced in the field of speech pathology and audiology and has almost 16 years of clinical experience and 13 years of teaching and research experience. He is an Associate member in Neurological Society of India, Member of Indian Speech and Hearing Association (ISHA), President of ISHA (Kerala State Branch) and Member of ISHA (Bangalore chapter). He has undergone International Course in Tinnitus Retraining Therapy and has completed one year of specialized course in Vestibular Sciences and Disorders from Salus University, USA. Neuroaudiology is his area of interest. He is one among very few audiology doctorate professionals working in the country.
He has done scientific paper presentation in various platforms across India and abroad. He has guided Master of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology (MASLP) students and co-guided ENT postgraduates for dissertation. He has various international paper publications to his credit and has served as co-author to a chapter published by Maharashtra Indian Speech and Hearing Association.
Dr. Prem has served as question paper setter, answer evaluator, controller of examinations, dissertation evaluator, internal and external examiner (practical) for Bachelor and Master of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology programs (BASLP & MASLP) in various universities such as Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Kerala University of Health Sciences, Vinayaka Mission University and Manipal University.
He has been invited as chair and co-chair for scientific sessions conducted in various speech and hearing national conferences in India. He has served as Board of Studies (speech and hearing) member in universities of Kerala and Calicut.
